A Few Portraits Using a Single Light Source - one Canon 580EX Speedlight
Wednesday, December 10, 2008 at 10:29AM If I could shoot nothing but my stunning girlfriend for the rest of my life I don't think I'd ever get bored. All of these are lit with a single 580EX flash, off camera, triggered wirelessly and shot through an umbrella.
(1/200 sec, f/2.2, Canon 50mm prime, ISO 100, one Canon 580EX speedlight shot through an umbrella at camera left)
(1/200 sec, f/2.2, Canon 50mm prime, ISO 100, Canon 580EX speedlight shot through umbrella at camera right)
(1/200 sec, f/4.0, Sigma 10-20mm at 10mm, ISO 100, Canon 580EX speedlight shot through umbrella at 11 o'clock and slightly above subject)

Sooooooo beautiful. lucky man you are
Congratulations to the model and the photographer :-)
Personaly, I have the impression that the skin on the second shot is a bit too strongly processed. But I guess that's the trend these days in fashion.
great lighting in first & tertiary capture, altogether very good shots
nice nice nice girl
how tall was the light?
KOD, the light was only about two feet off the ground, and a couple of feet from the Stephanie.
Beautiful photos. I just wanted to say good job. I really enjoy reading your posts.

Nice pictures. Your girlfriend is truly stunning. She is gorgeous, lucky guy. I'm in the process of drawing a portrait of my girlfriend on tan brown canson paper using black gray and white. Having a hard time with creating a lighting source, but your pictures are a big help for reference material. The second picture is perfect because it matches the pose and the exact lighting source direction i wanted. so thanks for posting these pics.
